About Starr Sanborn
Starr Sanborn, EYT, RYT500
I received my 500 hour therapeutic yoga teacher training from Robin Rothenberg at Essential Yoga,Therapy, and am currently working toward my Yoga Therapist Degree. My journey to yoga started with a very compromised health condition, which included two spinal surgeries. Therapeutic Yoga was the missing link in my recovery, and continues to be a part of my path to health and overall well-being.
Starr has trained at the advanced level with Patrick McKeown, founder of the Buteyko Clinic.
She is an IAYT Intern Yoga Therapist EYT 500-hour Yoga Instructor, and is certified in treating scoliosis, and the Essential Low Back Program. Starr has experience working with many populations and health conditions including musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, neurological, and respiratory. Instructors and practitioners in the Buteyko program follow the curriculum recommendedBy the International Association of Buteyko Practitioners (IAOBP), the most authoritative Buteyko organization in the world.
βIt is very rewarding to see many of my students grow stronger through the practice of yoga, both physically and mentally.β
My teacher, Robin Rothenberg, continues to inspire me with my yoga practice, and my goal of using what I have learned through my journey to help others who suffer from illness and injury. My students are my inspiration as well, and I am always amazed at their determination and courage to improve their health to the best of their ability. My husband is a daily inspiration with his loving support and encouragement to pursue my dream of becoming a Yoga Therapist.
